Waracle acquires Inov8 to further grow data and artificial intelligence capabilities

The acquisition pairs our team of 28, which specialises in cloud services, data services and artificial intelligence, with Waracle’s expertise in digital product development across Financial Services, Energy, Health and Public Sector.

Founded in 2011 by Brian Graham, Inov8 has an excellent reputation for data management and data consulting in modern cloud infrastructure, paired with a developer-first culture that is celebrated by staff and clients alike. This helps Waracle further bolster their Data and AI credentials, after the strategic appointments of David Low as Chief AI Officer and James Poulten as Head of Data & AI in 2025.

The acquisition aligns with Waracle’s growth strategy to increase the percentage of revenue from the Data & AI practice in 2026, and comes hot on the heels of their acquisition of HackSoft, a software engineering operation in Sofia, Bulgaria. This brings the overall headcount to 300 people across five offices in London, Glasgow, Dundee, Edinburgh and Sofia.

David Tuck & Brian Graham

“We are incredibly excited to bring Inov8 into Waracle. We worked really hard to find a Data and AI consultancy that matched not only our ambitions, but also our values and culture,” said David Tuck, CEO of Waracle.

He continued, “Since early 2025, as part of our strategic initiatives, we have focused on growing our Data & AI Practice. We have made massive strides over the last 18 months, and the talent within Inov8 will help us further our ambitions across both”.

Both companies are both recognised for creating values-led environments where people are inspired to do their best work, in the open, whilst pushing the boundaries of modern digital product excellence.

Brian Graham, founder and CEO of Inov8, commented, “Joining Waracle is a fantastic opportunity for Inov8 to demonstrate their depth of skills in Data & AI with Waracle’s scale and reach across Financial Services, Energy and Public Sector. We have always strived to deliver innovative solutions to client problems and build truly collaborative relationships as we do”.

He added, “We have spent a lot of time with David and other members of the Waracle leadership team getting to know them and the business. We know that joining forces at this moment will provide a great opportunity to be part of Waracle’s continued growth.”

Waracle’s turnover grew by over 30% in 2025 with pre-tax profits of nearly £2M. The 2028 vision is to grow from nearly 300 to 500 people working across the UK and Bulgaria, delivering digital products trusted by millions of people.
